The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It is the only surviving one of the ancient world. It was built as a tomb for the Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu and constructed over a 20-year period. Thousands of workers worked to build it. Firstly, they carried 5 million stone blocks from the cities in Egypt. Secondly, they decided on the place. When they built the Great Pyramid of Giza, it was about 146 meters high. But the strong winds damaged that. It is about 139 meters high now.
